Finding the Right Career Fit Made Easier

Christine Carder takes pride in her job. She’s not just a talent acquisition specialist at Eyes on Eyecare—she’s the bridge that connects optometrists with their dream jobs. With more than three years of experience, Carder has mastered the art of matching the right talent with the right practices, helping both newly graduated ODs and those looking for a change of pace with their perfect career fit.

A CLIENT-CENTRIC APPROACH

Carder works remotely with clients across the U.S. and Canada. Her mission is to simplify the often daunting task of recruitment for both parties by streamlining the hiring process and ensuring that candidates and practices align seamlessly. She was an optician for two years, so she has an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of the profession. She notes the employers the company works with are able to provide cutting edge technology, competitive salaries and benefits, production bonuses and a work/life balance. “We take the hardest parts of finding that right fit and do it all for you.”

Her clients—optometrists looking for open positions and employers posting those positions—can avoid the headache of sifting through stacks of resumes and interviewing with parties that may not be the right fit. Eyes On Eyecare outsources candidates based on client requirements. Whether it’s a practice looking for a medically oriented or specialized OD, or a new graduate looking for to get their foot in the door, Carder ensures her clients’ needs are met.

RECRUITING MADE EASIER

While the needs of all practices and ODs vary, what remains consistent is the desire for candidates who can contribute positively to practice growth and are a cultural fit. Carder and the Eyes On Eyecare team ensure that candidates and practices find mutual satisfaction. She notes the importance of discussing preferences, including practice setting, patient load and scheduling.

“We do all the heavy lifting,” Carder says. “As a practice manager or someone on the job hunt, your time is precious. Don’t waste it when we can do all that work for you.

When a match is made, nine out of ten times the placements is a great fit. However, if any bumps occur, Eyes On Eyecare offers 30- and 90- day guarantees, and all client information is saved should another opportunity come up.

And Carder is vouching for her candidates, too. She advises all candidates that everything is negotiable, from salary and bonus structures to raises, incentives and paid time off. She encourages candidates to be transparent in their communications. She says what she loves most about her job is the people, including her colleagues and the matches she gets to make. “I get to help people find their dream jobs. What could be better than that?”
