The Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society Welcomes New Board and Provides Two Student Grants

The Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society (OWNS) announced a significant expansion of its leadership team with the addition of accomplished board members and the establishment of an esteemed advisory committee. OWNS appointed Joseph Pizzimenti OD, FAAO, FORS, FNAP; Lara Zakaria PharmD MS, CDN, CNS, IFMCP; Ansel Johnson OD; and Kaleb Abbott OD, MS, FAAO to its board of directors. Each of these individuals brings a wealth of expertise, passion, and dedication to the organization’s mission. 

Additionally, OWNS also formed an Advisory Committee, a pivotal step toward fostering further collaboration in the field of ocular health and wellness. Committee members are Jeffery Anshel OD, FAAO; Marc Grossman OD, L.Ac; and Paul Chous, MA, OD, FAAO.

At a networking event held during the American Academy of Optometry, OWNS also presented two optometry students with grants: Steven Chen, of University of Alabama School of Optometry, and Rebecca Treen, of State University of New York School of Optometry.
