POP-UP POLL: Social Media Connections – RESULTS

Facebook Rules

More than 90 percent of the respondents to a recent Women In Optometry Pop-up Poll say they have a Facebook page for their practice or business. Google+, Instagram and Twitter were the next popular business pages, but lagged far behind at 35 percent, 33 percent and 29 percent, respectively.

A slight majority of respondents said that they believe that social media helps their business a little. Only one-in-five respondents said that it helps business a lot, just a bit more than the 16 percent who said that it has no impact. “If anything, I feel like it helps to keep up ‘top of mind’ for people. We have the opportunity to show the community that we are experts, and that they can trust us,” said one respondent.
