Jennifer DenHartog, OD, of Clive, Iowa, says that Wendi Wilson, OD, from Advanced Eye Care in Urbandale, Iowa, has been a mentor. “She and I discussed cases and medical information for 15 years, but when I decided to pursue my own practice several years ago, she offered much advice. She has been a great sounding board as I made decisions,” Dr. DenHartog says. Dr. Wilson provided her with suggestions for IT firms, how to choose frame lines, making equipment choices and staffing suggestions.

“A year later, it’s wonderful to have dinner and share our successes and cheer each other on, sharing information. It feels great to be able to add to the sharing of information.”
